RISK FACTOR OF ASCITES
- Non-alcohol associated fatty liver disease.

Other conditions include:
- Congestive heart failure
- Kidney failure
- Abdomen and pelvis organ cancer.
- Infections.
CAUSES
- Cirrhosis is the most common cause of ascites.
- Other conditions include heart failure, kidney failure, infection or cancer.
HOW DOES CIRRHOSIS CAUSE ASCITES?
- When people suffering from liver cirrhosis, the liver does not function properly.
- Reduction in liver function combines with portal hypertension to cause ascites symptoms.
- Portal hypertension is high pressure in the portal vein that delivers blood to liver.
- The high pressure causes fluid to leak out of veins into your belly and collect there.
SYMPTOMS OF ASCITES
- Large belly and rapid weight gain is the main symptom of ascites.
Other may include:
- Swelling in ankles.
- Shortness of breath.
- Bloating,
- Abdominal pain,
- Loss of appetite,
- Indigestion and constipation.
- Back pain.
- Difficulty sitting.
- Fatigue.

1 tsp. fenugreek seed / garlic juice.

Broken wheat porridge (Veg Dalia) / Veg Semolina (veg upma) /Veg Vermicelli (Sewian) /Veg poha (Rice flakes) /Veg Oats /Semolina/pancake /Stuffed Chapatti /Chapatti with veg or Dal /1- egg’s white part only.
MID‐MORNING
Fruits / Steamed Salad / Dandelion tea
