Introduction

It is found mainly in the Central Himalayan regions of India and at an altitude of 1500 m in Meghalaya, in the lower hilly regions of the Konkan, South India and other north-eastern states. It has been planned in the worms, leprosy etc. gangs of Charaksamhita and in Sursadi and Pippalyadi gangs of Sushruta Samhita. Acharya Sushruta has calculated Vidangtail in Shirovirechan. Its fruits are used in medicine. The fruits are small, round, 3-4 mm in diameter, smooth, fleshy, light blood in color, black in color and the seeds are single, round, white in color.

Ayurvedic virtues and effects:

• Vidang is bitter, astringent, hot, short, dry, sharp, expectorant, light, digestive, palatable, anthelmintic, leprous, anti-leprosy, antiseptic and antipyretic.
• It is beneficial in worm disease, colic, epilepsy, stomach disease, constipation, poisoning, arthritis, indigestion, anorexia, bhanti, colic, sore throat, meningitis, sepsis, heart disease, cough, catarrh and breathing etc.
• Its fruits are diarrhea, diarrhea, hemorrhage, worm infestation, columnar and aerating.
• The pulp of its fruit is laxative.
• The fruit-tone is diuretic and mild laxative.
• Its seeds are antipyretic and expectorant.
• Its leaves are ulcerative.
• Its basic skin powder is analgesic.
• Its root is diarrhea.
• It has ulcerative action.

Dosage and method of medicinal use:

Chiropractic – Mulathi, Vyvidang, Bhrangraj and ginger kalk and milk infusion of Siddha Ghrit (1-2 drops) is beneficial in all types of headaches, hair and tooth loss, visual impairment etc.

By taking nasal spray of Vidang Tandul and black sesame powder, sneezing removes the defects and alleviates migraine.

Applying mustard oil from Widang, Cow Urine, Manashila and Sulfur is used to soothe the external worms (Yuka etc. / lice, leeches).

Cough – Cough, shortness of breath, asthma and hiccups by mixing asafoetida, rock salt, kuth, ginger, chilli, pepper, roasted asafoetida in ghee and pure mind rock powder mixed with honey and ghee. There is mitigation.

Kas-Shwas-1-3 gms of Vidangadi Churna (Vidang, Sonth, Rasna, Pippali, Asafoetida, Rock Salt, Bharangi and Yavakshar) taken with ghee. Diseases are also alleviated.

Worm disease– Consumption of 1-2 grams of Widang powder with honey or consumption of Yavagu mixed with Widang, Pippalimul, Sahijan, Chilli and Takra and Sajjikshar mixed alleviates stomach worms.

Consumption of 2-4 grams of Widang Ghrit with rock salt or sugar destroys stomach worms.

Make bread by mixing 274 grams weeding powder in wheat flour. After consuming the bread, mix pipple powder in kanji or takra and drink it, it alleviates stomach worms.

Taking double amount of weeding seed powder, cedar oil or simple (pine) oil, mixing both and keeping it in the sun, using this oil as a habitat, worms are alleviated.

Drinking lukewarm decoction (10-20 ml) of Vidang and Amaltas quenches stomach worms.

By mixing Widang and Trikatu (Pippali Marich Sonth) in the rice mand made from the decoction of Dipaniya medicines (Panchkoladi), worms are destroyed and gastritis is inflamed.

Ingestion of 1-2 gms of weeding seed powder with 10-15 ml of weeding seed decoction destroys worms and worm-borne diseases.

Worms are destroyed by consuming Sambhag Widang seeds, Indrajau and Palashbeej powder (3-6 grams) with double sugar.

Kamala (jaundice) – By taking both Widang and Pippali and rubbing them in water and using them like nasya and anjan, there is benefit in jaundice.

Leprosy (Leprosy) – Grinding Sambhag Kaner root and Viddug seeds with cow urine and applying it on the leprosy affected limb and bathing and washing and massaging etc. gives benefit in leprosy.

Consumption of Sambhag Churna (1-2 grams) of Vidang, Triphala and Pippali with honey alleviates leprosy, sepsis, herpes zoster, fistula and worms.

Vidradhi- Consumption of 15-20 ml of Vidangarishta gives benefit in severe diseases called Vidradhi, Urustambha, Ashmari (stones), Gonorrhea, Fistula, Goiter and Hanustambha

Skin diseases- Swarnakshari, Vingg, Hingul, Gandhak, Chakramard Seed, Kootha and Sindoor, take all these substances in equal quantity in first Dhatura Patraksha, later Nimbapataswaras and finally Tambul Patra-Swaras. By doing this, there is benefit in pama, Dadru (itching), Vicharchika, Kandu and Raksa.

Rasayana– By taking 1-2 gm of wadge seed powder and liquorice powder for one month with cold water, honey-containing dry milk (20 ml) or honey with amla swar (10 ml) or giloy decoction (20-25 ml) and digested On the use of melted rice and salt-free moong and gooseberry amalgam, the piles and hemorrhoids are quenched and chemical properties are enhanced.

Mixing 1-2 grams of powder, pure bhilava and dry ginger in the morning and taking 1-2 grams in the morning every day provides chemical properties without disease and old age.

Grind 1-2 grams of snakebite with a tuberculosis and drink it to mitigate the toxic effects of snakebites.

Soil-Poison- If the ground-toxin is contaminated, the poisonous effect is destroyed by mixing the powder of Bambi soil, water, Patha and Katabhi in milk or by spraying it on the ground.

Application: seed.

Quantity: Arishta 15-20 ml. 172 grams of seed powder. Seed decoction 10-15 ml or as per doctor’s consultation.
