INTRODUCTION
- Ulcerative Colitis IBD, also known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In this disease the gastro-intestine of the person gets affected. Along with this, there is inflammation in the lining of the colon or large intestine and its rectum. This inflammation on the colon is known as ulcer. This is where the ulcers gradually develop in the rectum and spread upwards. This inflammation of the large intestine causes the bowel to empty. The disease also kills the surface cells of the large intestine. This ulcer often causes problems with bleeding and mucus etc.
- Ulcerative colitis can affect anyone of any age, but one study reported that it most commonly occurs in people between the ages of 15 and 30 and those between the ages of 50 and 70. A person suffering from this disease has to face many problems. Today, in this article, we will tell you what changes should be made in the diet of a person suffering from ulcerative colitis.
SYMPTOMS OF ULCERATIVE COLITIS
- Persistent mild or severe abdominal pain lasting 1 week or more
- Frequent diarrhea and slight diarrhea
- Blood and pus accompanied by diarrhea are its main symptoms, but it is often not visible in the early stages.

Fruit juice

Behind this, the anti-inflammatory properties present in these three fruits can be considered beneficial.

Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids
Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory effects, which may prove useful in inflammatory diseases, including ulcerative colitis (6). Salmon, mackerel, tuna, herring and sardines can be consumed to supply omega-3 fatty acids (7). In such a situation, it is believed that the consumption of foods containing omega-3 fatty acids may be helpful in ulcerative colitis.
Squash, pumpkin

Avocado

A research clearly mentions that ethanol extract of avocado has anti-colytic effect, which can be effective in fighting this disease. Eat Green Vegetables

But when you have a disease like ulcerative colitis, instead of using vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cabbage etc. in your diet, use vegetables like zucchini, sweet potato and gourd. Or ginger and garlic can also be consumed by adding it to soup or gravy. These spices will provide relief in pain and nausea. This spice is very helpful in removing digestive problems.
Use Olive oil
Consumption of olive oil is also beneficial and comfortable because it contains elements called biophenols. They are the most abundant source of antioxidants we can find in the diet, compared to other fruits and vegetables. Easy to digest also. Reduce the use of spicy food, red meat, refined sugar in this problem.
