It is a sensitive organ of the body so it requires utmost care. There are many cosmetics available in the market but one should prefer natural remedies for treating skin problems.

Ayurveda approach

Tomatoes
Tomatoes are a good source of vitamin c and because of their antioxidant properties, they are best used to heal the skin. The main function of the juice of tomatoes is to shrink open pores caused by acne as it possesses natural astringent properties. Tomatoes are used to lighten the dark spots on the skin as it contains a high amount of lycopene content present.
Usage: massage your skin with tomato for one minute. Let it dry for 15 minutes and wash it off
Cocoa butter
Cocoa butter helps to reduce the blemishes due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It provides moisturization to the skin and keeps it hydrated for the maximum amount of time. One should just apply it over your face with the help of hands. Leave it overnight. One can repeat this procedure every day for better results.
Coconut oil
It provides great moisturization to the skin. It is the best remedy for irritated skin, dry and eczema of body.
Chamomile
Chamomile has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and mild astringent properties. It helps to treat skin inflammation.
Castor oil
It is used as a cleansing agent or makes up remover. It disinfects the skin and prevents it from bacteria. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and mild astringent properties
Baking soda
It possesses anti-inflammatory properties that help to shed dead cells of the skin. One can make the face pack, with just 1 teaspoon of baking soda and add1 teaspoon of organic olive oil. Stir it well. Do gentle scrubbing with the face pack. After 15 minutes just wash it off.
Aloe vera
The most amazing property of aloe vera is it contains polysaccharides that help in the growth of new skin cells and heal blemishes and scars.
Take a leaf from the aloe vera plant and extract the gel. Now, apply the gel on your skin and leave for 15 min to dry. Wash it off with water. Practice this for a month and you will find that your blemishes will tend to get lighter by the day.
Egg white
Egg whites have many health and fitness benefits as it contains high quality of protein content. The white part of the egg contains natural enzymes which are useful in lightening blemishes. Take an egg white, stir it well in a bowl and apply it on your complete face. Rest it for about 10 minutes. Rinse your face with cold water and moisturize the skin.
Lemon juice
Lemon juice is most effective in the case of blemishes from dark spots. The bleaching action of lemon helps to reduce the effects of dark spots and pigmentation. One can also mix lemon juice with honey and apply it over the face.
Fuller earth or Multani mitti
Fuller’s earth or Multani mitti is widely used for skin disorders. It has beneficial effects on the skin. Make a face pack along with rose water to remove dead skin cells.
Potatoes
Potatoes consist of high amounts of starch which helps to reduce pigmentation and dark circles beneath the eyes.
Tulsi
Tulsi is considered a holy herb in Ayurveda due to its amazing healing properties. It is one of the best herbs to treat pimples, acne, and blemishes naturally. Take some fresh and clean tulsi leaves, crush them and take out its juice and do gentle massage on face. Let the face absorb the juice of 15-20 minutes and then wash off.
Amla
Amla is considered an elixir for skin and helps in the removal of excess sebum, oil, and fights against bacteria causing acne and prevents scarring. Take an amla paste and apply it on your face. Rinse it off after 15-20 minutes of application. One can also have amla juice daily for skin treatment. It has an abundant amount of vitamin c as compared to orange juice. It possesses antioxidant properties.
Honey
Honey has numerous benefits and acts as a miraculous natural ingredient and is useful in the treatment of acne and pimples. Apply a few drops of raw on the scars or the pimples and wash off after 5-10 minutes. Use it regularly for the best results.
Turmeric
Turmeric has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties which are used as an ayurvedic remedy to prevent bacterial breakouts and acne. It is also anti-allergic and removes toxins from the pores of the skin.
Neem
Neem is perfect for pimples as it as antibacterial, antiseptic properties. Make neem leaf paste and apply over pimples and let it dry and then wash it off.
Herbal mixture
