LEUCODERMA – WEEKLY DIET PLAN

LEUCODERMA is a skin disease that causes loss of skin pigmentation that leads to skin whitening. the condition that leads to formation of white patches on the skin is termed as vitiligo or leucoderma. it can occur at any part of the body and when the condition gets severe, it can also spread to other parts of the body including face, scalp and genitals.
Here we mention a weekly diet plan for LEUCODERMA disease which leads to decrease in the frequency and severity of symptoms by balancing the 3 doshas and thus get rid of them by some dietary modifications:

Breakfast 8:30- 9:30 am | 1 cup of oats + soaked almonds (4-5) |
MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | 1 bowl of Fruits (banana/APPLES) |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2;30 pm | 2 chapati + half bowl basmati rice + moong dal + mint chutney + beetroot salad |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Herbal tea + 1 cup of roasted almonds |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 2 chapati + sbji + salad |
MONDAY | |
Breakfast 8:30- 9:30 am | 1 cup veg porridge + soaked walnuts (3-4) |
MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | 1 glass of Coconut water |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2:30 pm | 3 chapati + broccali + cucumber salad + raita |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Fruit juice |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 2 chapati+ 1 cup of brown rice + geeen beans sbji+ salad |

Breakfast 8:30- 9:30 am | Veg sandwich without tomato ( brown bread) |
MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | 1 glass of Fruit juice ( guava) |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2:30 pm | 2 chappati + aalo gazar matar + half cup of rice + beetroot salad + mint chutney |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Green tea |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 2 chapati + Brown rice + vegetable(pumpkim/peas) + whole moong dal |

MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | 1 glass coconut water |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2:30 pm | 3 chapati + pumpkin + salad+ beetroot raita |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Herbal tea |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 2 chapati+ half cup veg pulao+ spinach + raita |

Breakfast 8:30- 9:30 am | 1 cup veg oats |
MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | 1 glass of Coconut water |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2:30 pm | 2 chappati + masoor dal + rice + salad + mint chutney |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Green tea + 1 cup of sprouts |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 3 chapati+ moong daal + salad |

Breakfast 8:30- 9:30 am | Cucumber and carrot sandwich |
MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | Fruits (muskmelon) |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2:30 pm | 2 chapati + half cup brown rice + pumpkin sbji + salad |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Golden milk |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 2 chapati + moong dal+ salad |
SATURDAY | |
Breakfast 8:30- 9:30 am | Stuffed paratha |
MID MEAL 11:00- 11:30 AM | Coconut water |
LUNCH 2.00 – 2:30 pm | 3 chappati + dal( moong)+ rice + salad |
EVENING 4:00 – 4:30 pm | Herbal tea |
DINNER 7:30 – 8:30 pm | 3 chappati + mix veg + salad |
FOODS COMBINATIONS THAT YOU MUST RESTRICT:
Following food items should be restricted in the patients of leucoderma as it can make the condition worse.
- Combination of meat and milk
- Talking too much salt with milk
- Cheese and fruits
- Ice cream at night
FOOD ITEMS TO BE TAKEN:
- Radish Carrot, Broccoli, , French beans, Bottle gourd, Ridge gourd, Bitter gourd. Oats, Whole grain bread, Brown rice, Wheat, Millet, Corn.
- Soya bean oil, Flaxseed oil, Olive oil, Mustard oil, Sesame oil.
- Turmeric, Coriander, Garlic, Cumin, Green Cardamom, Fresh ginger, Fenugreek seeds.
- Carrot juice, Green cucumber juice, Herbal tea, Herbal juices, Coconut water, Green tea.
FOODS TO BE AVOIDED:
- Fish, red meat, chocolates, junk foods, refined sugar, spicy and oily foods, cocoa made items.
- Cashew nuts.
- Pickles, carom seeds, cloves, black cardamom, nutmeg, green chili.
- Curd, cheese, eggs, buttermilk, ice cream, butter.
- Grapes, lemon, oranges, peaches, mangoes, guava, papaya, cherries,
all sour fruits.
