- Indigestion is discomfort in the upper abdomen. When the acid that builds up in the stomach damages the protective surface of the digestive system, it causes burning and bloating in the stomach, which is extremely painful.
- According to Ayurveda, indigestion is basically food related. Indigestion usually does not cause any serious complications, yet it can affect your quality of life. Due to this you feel uncomfortable and eat less. Sometimes even going to your office or school is not possible due to indigestion
CAUSES IF INDIGESTION:
- Too much food
- Eating too fast
- Consuming fatty or oily foods
- Eating spicy food
- Consuming excessive amounts of caffeine
- Consuming excessive amounts of alcohol
- Eating a lot of chocolate
- Consuming too many gassy beverages
- Emotional trauma
- Gallstones
- Hiatus hernia
- Due to anxiety
- Obesity
- Peptic ulcers
- Stomach cancer
PREVENTION:
- Eat small meals because consuming large meals at a time may cause indigestion Taking small meals at regular intervals may prevent the load on your gut and facilitate digestion.
- Do not sleep right after you eat it’s advised to require a slow walk for about 10 minutes after you eat to spice up digestion.
- Cut down on processed foods, like chips, cookies, and pastries, because they will be difficult to digest.
- Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables because they have lots of fiber
- Chew food well because digestion begins right inside the mouth The enzymes that aid digestion is present within the saliva produced by the salivary glands once you eat slowly and chew your food well these enzymes get adequate time to digest the food
- Drinking warm mint tea
- Avoid foods that produce lots of gas, like beans, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli, especially at time for supper.
- Avoid spicy foods.
- Drinking some juice to boost digestion.
- Consume foods like curd, buttermilk, and kefir since they contain good bacteria that facilitate digestion.
- Avoid foods and drinks that contain caffeine
- Avoid acidic foods, like tomatoes and citrus fruits.
- Avoid alcohol

FENNEL SEEDS OR SAUNF

- Consume fennels to spice up digestion. It are often taken as crushed fennel seeds boiled in water or chewed after meals.
CAROM SEEDS OR AJWAIN:
