- 150 grams of jaggery (jaggery)
- 150 grams peanuts
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tsp ghee to melt
Way
- Roast the peanuts on low heat until the skin separates. Remove them and remove the skin by rubbing peanuts between the palms.
- Take jaggery in a pan and add water and ghee and cook on low heat till the jaggery melts.
- Once it starts changing color, try dipping it in water. Just when it starts breaking, take the pan off the heat and mix it with peanuts.
- Quickly spread the mixture on the ghee platform and roll the chikki as thinly as you like with a worn rolling pin.
- This should be done quickly as the cold chikki will not spread. When it is still hot then cut it into squares and let it cool completely.
- Store the chikki in an air-tight container and enjoy for a month.
How to make groundnut chikki
- If you have brought roasted peanuts from the market, peel them off, if you want to roast peanuts at home, then add a teaspoon of water to the peanuts and mix them in the microwave after 2-3 minutes. Fry for a minute. See if the peanuts are fried, if not, microwave for 2 more minutes. Remove the skin when it cools down.
- Put a small spoon of ghee in the pan and place it on the gas and heat it. Break the jaggery and put it in the pan, stir the jaggery with a spoon. (Cook on medium gas) The jaggery starts to melt, you cook it while stirring, when the jaggery is melted, after cooking the sugar syrup for 4-5 minutes, sugar syrup is ready.
- Add the peanuts to the sugar syrup, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes while stirring. Grease a plate with ghee. Spread the chikki in the plate immediately. Cut it to your desired size with the help of a knife. And when cooled, separate the pieces.
- Peanut Chikki is ready. Fill the chikki in an air tight container, whenever you feel like eating it and eat it.
