Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix. Appendix is a finger-shaped protrusion at the end of your large intestine, and is known as vestigial organ. Appendicitis causes pain in the right lower abdominal region. This pain typically increases as inflammation worsens and becomes severe. Food for Appendix Patients
There are many foods to eat after appendix surgery. Every patient responds a little differently to the diet after any type of abdominal surgery. It is important to follow the recommendations of your surgeon, nurse, or nutritionist. It is also important to pay close attention to your body and how different foods make you feel. Your postoperative diet contains ingredients that are used during recovery by your immune system and replenish your red blood cells.
