- Choline medicinal salt is indicated for the treatment of nutritional supplement, prevention of neural tube defects and fatty liver disease, and other conditions.
- Choline is a water-soluble nutrient that plays an important role in liver function, brain development, nerve function. It also helps in keeping the body energetic and metabolism healthy. Choline is also found in foods such as liver, chicken breast, fish, eggs, navy beans, peas, etc. Choline is an essential nutrient and its deficiency in the body can cause muscle damage, cognitive decline, nerve damage, memory loss and abnormal coagulation of fat in the liver.
- Choline is used as a medicine to treat hepatitis, cirrhosis, depression, memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, Huntington’s chorea and Tourette’s disease. Is it safe to drive or operate heavy machinery while using this product?
If you experience drowsiness, dizziness, hypotension or a headache as side-effects when using Choline medicine then it may not be safe to drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery. You should not drive if you feel sleepy, dizzy, or if your blood pressure drops drastically after eating the medicine. Pharmacists recommend not to drink alcohol with drugs as alcohol intensifies the side effects of sleep. Please check for these effects on your body when using Choline. Is this drug or product addictive or habit forming?

Other important Information on Choline
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, take the dose as soon as you remember. If the time for your next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume your dosage schedule. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose. If you forget to take your dose regularly then set an alarm or ask a family member to remind you. If you have recently missed several doses, please consult your doctor to discuss changes in timing and new times to make up for missing medications.
Overdosage of Choline
Do not take more than prescribed dose. Using more medication will not improve your symptoms, rather it can cause poisoning or serious side effects. If you suspect that you or anyone else who may have overdosed of Choline, please go to the emergency department of the closest hospital or nursing home. Carry a medicine box, container, or label with you to help doctors find the necessary information.
Never give your medicines to other people even if you know that a person’s condition is similar to yours or if it appears that their illness is similar to yours. This may cause overdose of the drug.
