It is defined as the chronic digestive and immune disorder that damages the small intestine. When you eat gluten rich food this disease triggers. Damage to the mucosa in small intestine impairs the ability to absorb nutrients from food Causing nutritional deficiencies. It is also called celiac sprue.

CAUSES OF CELIAC DISEASE:
This disease is caused by abnormal immune system reaction to the protein gluten. Gluten is found in food such as cereals,pasta,muffin,fried food and biscuits.

In Ayurveda coelic disease is caused by the weak digestive fire. When the food is left undigested it travels upward or downward. If it moves in downward direction it will leads to constipation and cause inflammation of small intestine .
The treatment of this disease involves agni deepan and ama pachan properties. These herbs helps in regulating digestive fire and purging out toxins .
