Everyone experiences occasional pains from time to time. It is an important reaction of the nervous system that alerts you.
When an injury occurs, it sends signals from the affected area to the brain. There are mainly two types of pain which are acute pain and chronic pain.
Pain can be caused by a finger cut or a muscle pull. Pain is the body’s way of telling or warning that something is wrong.
But once it heals, the pain will become less severe. In Acute pain, you have a problem and you need to take care of it.
Chronic pain is different from acute pain because in chronic pain body continues to send signals to the brain, even after the healing process.
It may last for several weeks to years and reduce the body’s flexibility, strength, and endurance.
This may also affect your daily tasks and activities. Some of the most common types of chronic pain are lower back pain, arthritis pain, headache, post-trauma pain, neurogenic pain, postsurgical pain, cancer pain, and psychogenic pain.
