These tablets are Herbo-mineral and purely Ayurvedic formulation. These tablets helps to balance the kapha dosha and acts on the Pranavaha srotas ( respiratory system ). It has excellent results in Phlegm related disorders , chronic cough, fever, common cold. It is also effective in all respiratory diseases like bronchitis, laryngitis, bronchial asthma, seasonal allergy etc. These tablets helps to treat the root cause and also increase immunity of person. INGREDIENTS OF CAC COUGH GO TABLET:
- Sonth ( Zingiber officinale) : It has expectorant properties that helps to loosen mucus from lungs and also soothes lung tissues. The chemical compound oleoresins prevents the formation of excessive mucus.
- Pippali ( Piper longum) : It tends to provide relief from congestion and cough and also helps to remove the mucus deposits from the respiratory tract. It has potent anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that helps to shield body from various infections and also improve immune system of the body.
- Kali mirch ( Piper nigrum): It promotes the circulation and mucus flow. It also helps to treat asthmatic symptoms and clear respiratory tract.
- Mulethi ( Glycyrrhiza glabra) : It has anti-biotic, anti-inflammatory and anti-asthmatic properties thus helps to manage cough, common cold and flu symptoms. It also thins the phlegm deposits in the chest and nasal cavities thus helps to ease breathing and also get rid of excessive mucus.

Guaifenesin comes under the class of drugs called Expectorants. It is also known as Glyceryl guaiacolate. It helps to clear mucus from the chest in cold, flu, bronchitis etc. It is not used for ongoing cough from smoking or any long term breathing problems.
Mechanism of Action:
Guaifenesin increase the volume and reduce viscosity of secretions in trachea and bronchi. It also aids in flow of respiratory tract secretions by allowing ciliary movement to carry loosened secretions upwards toward the pharynx. Thus increasing efficiency of cough reflex and facilitates removal of secretions.
