What is Nephrotic syndrome:
Know about Ayurvedic treatment for nephrotic syndrome in child. The kidney acts as a sieve in the body, through which unnecessary excretory substances and excess water of the body are passed out through urine. In Nephrotic syndrome, due to the enlargement of the hole in the sieve, excess water and excretory substances as well as proteins required by the body are also excreted with urine.
The kidney performs the function of removing the contaminants from the body, but due to the large hole in the kidney sieve, the essential nutrients and proteins of the body come out of the body through the urethra. Due to this there is a lack of protein in the blood. Due to this, there is swelling in the eyes and stomach, as well as cholesterol increases. In this, the small vessels of the kidney, which act as filters, get damaged. The disease of nephrotic syndrome can affect a person for a long time if proper treatment is not done
Main symptoms:
Swelling appears under the eyes and on the face. As the disease progresses, the stomach becomes bloated and urination starts decreasing and weight increases.
Swelling occurs in the abdomen, face and around the eyes of a person suffering from nephrotic syndrome. The problem of high blood pressure can also be seen in this. Apart from this, the patient feels less appetite. If any such symptoms are seen, then the doctor should be told about it immediately, so that it can be treated in time
When an excessive amount of protein starts going into the urine and there is a lack of protein in the body, then it is called Nephrotic Syndrome. This is a kidney disease, which is most commonly seen in young children. Although adults can also be a victim of it, but most of the nephrotic syndrome occurs in children of 2 years to 6 years.
. The help of the following tests can be taken for its diagnosis-
(1) Urine test
If any symptoms of nephrotic syndrome are seen, then protein in the urine is tested. Urine test is done for this, in which the correct amount of protein in urine is detected.
(2) Blood test
Blood test can help to diagnose the disease of nephrotic syndrome. In this, a blood sample is taken and the level of protein in it is checked, as well as triglyceride is also detected.
(3) Kidney Biopsy
In this test, small samples of kidney tissue are taken and examined under a microscope in the lab. During a biopsy, a special needle is inserted into the skin and kidney, from which kidney tissue is removed.
How to prevent nephrotic syndrome
In this, it is important to recognize the symptoms in time and start treatment, as it can lead to other diseases later. Why this disease is more common in children, it is not yet known. In such a situation, children should be kept away from fatty diet and they should be given a normal amount of protein-rich food. According to myUpchar, the doctor may recommend changes in diet along with medicines to prevent complications of this disease.

FAQ :
Question 1 : Can nephrotic syndrome be cured?
Answer : There is no cure for nephrotic syndrome. Your doctor will tell you to take certain medicines to treat the symptoms while they work to slow or stop kidney damage. This includes medicines to control cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar. You should also drink lots of water every day.
Question 2 : What is the first indication of nephrotic syndrome in children?
Answer : The swelling that you notice most is around your child’s eyes. Sometimes the swelling lasts all day and may spread to your child’s ankles, feet or belly. Nephrotic syndrome is more common in African-American children than any other racial group.
Question 3 : Is nephrotic syndrome life threatening?
Answer: The first and most important thing to do if you’ve developed the symptoms of nephrotic syndrome is to call your doctor. Nephrotic syndrome can occur with a number of health conditions, so it’s important that your doctor tries to determine the underlying cause.
Question 4: Can you live a normal life with nephrotic syndrome?
Answer : While nephrotic syndrome can be serious, the good news is that most people respond well to treatment and can live essentially a normal life. If the condition goes into remission patients will usually stay healthy for some time, but nevertheless need to have regular check ups with their doctor to monitor the condition.
Question 5: What is the survival rate of nephrotic syndrome?
Answer : The nephrotic syndrome is an entity with a wide range of severity. Life expectancy has increased from less than 10 years ago to approximately 50 years of age. In 1975, there were 39 patients admitted at our institution with the nephrotic syndrome from birth. Thirty-nine patients reached end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) at a median age of 11 months and 41% were alive 1 year later. A follow-up was performed in 1984 in 29 surviving patients; 51% of the patients were recipients of renal transplants, 40% had undergone dialysis, 9% were still on steroids and others had died. The average life expectancy was 43 years and the overall one-year survival was 75%. We reviewed 19 children admitted after 1986 until now who reached ESKD at a median age of 11 months; 10 have already died and 10 are still living with an average life expectancy of 37 years and a one-year survival rate of 86%. It is clear that pediatric nephrotic syndrome is not a usually fatal disease like it used to be but is associated with considerable morbidity because most survivors require long-term treatment or renal replacement therapy.

Pay Attention to the way you Breathe
In today’s life, from elders to children are facing stress. Yoga proves to be very helpful in dealing with stress.
The most important thing for us is the breath. If the breath stops, life is over. Actually, the cells of our body need oxygen to work which we get through breath. This oxygen goes into the body and turns into carbon dioxide and if a small part of this carbon dioxide remains in our body, then our cells are damaged. Therefore, it is necessary to breathe properly to take in the right amount of oxygen and remove carbon dioxide.
Must use 70-75% of Breathing Capacity
We usually use only 15-20 per cent of our breathing capacity, whereas we must use it up to 70-75 per cent. If we breathe fast, then the heart has to work more. According to yoga expert the correct formula for breathing is SSLD i.e. Smooth, Slow, Long and Deep i.e. take deep, long and slow breaths. We breathe about 15-17 times in a minute. The less a person takes longer and deeper breaths, the longer he lives. Breathing properly is good for the heart and lungs. This lowers the blood pressure. By breathing properly, the body gets better oxygen. This improves concentration and memory. At the same time, anger and anxiety also start decreasing. It even releases endorphins, which reduce stress.
Deep Breathing
Do deep breathing twice a day for 5-10 minutes i.e. take deep breaths. During this, sit comfortably and take deep and deep breaths. You can also do it by sitting on the seat in the office. Due to this, dopamine hormone is released in our body which affects our nervous system. This hormone helps to keep a person happy.

This pranayama reduces stress and anxiety. This pranayama calms the mind and increases concentration. Also keeps the blood flow right. It keeps the heart and lungs healthy. For this, first sit straight in Sukhasan and close the eyes. Place the palm of the left hand on the left knee in Gyan Mudra. Now inhale from the left nostril and then close the ring finger and little finger together. Immediately remove the thumb from the right nostril and exhale. Do the same with the right side. Repeat this for a total of 5 rounds.
Breathing Exercise: Relax in 10 Minutes

It reduces stress. It also controls anger and restlessness. To do this, sit in Sukhasana by lying down and close your eyes. Take both the hands on the face and close the ears with both the thumbs. Keep the index finger above the eyes, the middle finger near the nose, the ring finger above the lip and the smallest finger under the lip. Then take a deep and long breath through the nose. Then exhale while making the sound of reverberating whirlpools. Do 5 such rounds.
Pronunciation of OM

Sit straight in Sukhasana and place both hands on the knees in Gyan Mudra. Close your eyes. And pay close attention to your breath. Being close to the 5 elements of nature reduces stress and keeps the mind happy. Stay close to sky, water, fire, air and earth. Walk barefoot on the grass. Extend both hands and look towards the sky. Get out of the house and get fresh air. Do spend some time in the sunlight and drink clean water.
