Chronic bronchitis is a serious disease in which there is constant irritation or inflammation in the trachea and it is often due to the consumption of cigarettes. Cough and related symptoms worsen over time in chronic bronchitis. Sometimes, a cough can last for more than three months. Chronic bronchitis is a long-term disease and requires immediate medical treatment.
What is the difference between bronchitis and asthma?
Most importantly, in bronchitis there is inflammation and irritation in the bronchial tubes but in asthma the airways shrink and swell.
“Many times, bronchitis can be caused by changing weather, but asthma is not caused by weather. Asthma may worsen due to seasonal changes but that is not the reason behind it. ”
