In today’s run-of-the-mill life, people have become so busy with their work that they don’t have time to keep themselves fit and healthy. The increasing trend of gadgets poses a threat to our health. There are two main reasons for this – first, people with gadgets sit for hours, second, while using them, people do not even take care of the correct posture. In this case, cases of health problems related to the waist are increasing continuously, slip disk is one of them. It is a matter of concern that this disease was earlier seen only in the elderly, but nowadays the youth are also increasingly vulnerable to it.
What is a slip disc?
Our spinal cord consists of 7 bones in the cervical spine, 12 in the thoracic spine and 5 in the lumbar spine. These bones are attached by a disc. Each disc has two parts, a soft inner part and a rigid outer ring. When the outer ring is weakened, the inner part of the disc gets exit passage. This is known as a slip disc or a herniated disc. Slip discs cause slip disc problems when the outer ring weakens or becomes damaged and the inner part finds a way out. This problem can occur at any age, but it is more likely to become vulnerable in old age. Lifting too much weight can also cause tension in the lower part of the spine, resulting in slip disk problems. People are suffering from slip discs even with little or no physical work. Symptoms of slip disc –
- Pain and numbness on one side of the body.
- Unbearable pain in the chest. –
- Increased waist pain at night.
- Pain after standing or sitting continuously.
- Trouble walking.
- Feeling weakness in muscles.
- Stretching and pain in the affected area of the spine.
Diagnosis- spine surgeons perform your physical examination first. It is first attempted to find out what is causing this pain, how the nerves are working. How powerful the muscles are. It is easy to identify damaged parts by imaging testing. It uses X-ray, CT scan, MRI scan and discogram technique.
Prevention measures
- Some precautions can be taken to reduce the risk of developing a slip disc.
- Avoid lifting excess weight.
- Use the correct technique when lifting weights.
- Maintain your weight.
- Posters correct when using computers and mobiles.
- Avoid sitting for long periods of time.
- Exercise regularly to keep the muscles strong.
Treatment
Treatment slip discs depends on what level your problem is. How bad the disk is. Slip discs can be got rid of through exercise and physiotherapy. But if the pain is not relieved by them, then the doctor can give you some medicines, it can help to relieve the pain.
Surgery Microdisketomy is a better option in surgery. During this surgery, the damaged part of the disc is removed without removing the entire disc. In more severe cases, effective treatment of this problem can be done by artificial disc replacement surgery. Once the artificial disc is placed, the sufferer does not have trouble bending back and forth, performing spinal flexibility as before. Its biggest advantage is that it works throughout life.
One can also get rid of slip disc problem by endoscopic disc surgery, it The surgery is performed with general anesthesia. Through the endoscopic tube, the deformed slip reaches the disc. In this procedure, the help of fluoroscopy X-ray or CT scan in operation theater is taken. A cold laser is also attached to the endoscopic tube to perform the surgery procedure better.

Crohn’s Disease is part of a group of intestinal diseases known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Often people complain of stomach pain, diarrhea, intestinal irritation, weight loss. Sometimes people ignore it. These symptoms may be pointing to a stomach related disease. A stomach related disease is Crohn’s disease or Crohn’s disease which is also known as Crohn’s syndrome or ileitis. The disease is named after New York gastroenterologist Barrill Bernard Cron. This disease is a chronic inflammatory disease occurring in a type of digestive track. Also Read – 11kg tumor, flatulence and shortness of breath are extracted from woman’s stomach
What is Crohn’s Disease
Crohn’s disease is part of a group of intestinal diseases known as inflammatory bowel disease or IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). The disease usually affects the lower part of the small intestine (ileum). However, it can occur in any part of the gastrointestinal system.
Crohn’s Disease Causes, Risk
In people suffering from Crohn’s disease, there is swelling, burning sensation and ulcers in the intestines and surrounding areas, affecting the lining of the digestive track badly. Till now scientists have not been able to find out the exact reason for this, but they believe that it is probably responsible for the problems related to the immune system, genetic and haphazard lifestyle. Lifestyle includes eating habits, microbes such as bacteria or viruses, smoking, etc. Many researches have also said that there is a higher risk of Crohn’s disease among those who do not smoke.
Crohn’s Disease Symptoms
The disease is generally common in people between 15 and 30 years of age, yet it can affect anyone. Symptoms include pain in the stomach or intestines
diarrhea with or without blood
fever
feeling of heaviness in the lower right side of the abdomen
weight loss
anemia
fatigue, etc.
Other severe symptoms may develop depending on the complications of the disease such as arthritis, gallstones, burning sensation in the mouth and eyes, skin rashes or ulcers.Poor digestive power is the cause of every disease, keep it fit like this
Crohn’s Disease Treatment
Not necessarily all symptoms point towards Crohn’s disease, so there is no need to panic or get upset. If symptoms persist, contact a doctor first. Several tests are done to identify Crohn’s disease like medical history, endoscopy, blood test, barium X-ray etc. In the treatment, first try to reduce swelling, burning, pain, diarrhea, bleeding through drugs
Do not panic with symptoms
This disease is not so common. Symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and not digesting food properly are seen in many diseases. In such a situation, it is not necessary that you have Crohn’s disease. It is atrogenic, in which the cause is not known. Crops are detected only after multiple investigations, intestinal biopsy. It is treated by making lifestyle changes such as exercising, balanced diet ie eating nutritious food, relieving stress.
Ayurvediv view in crohn’s diseases
- When Agni – the fire of digestion – is weak, there is incomplete degradation of food. Then toxins are formed by the rotting of residues that remain. They spread with the blood and damage the nourishment of the cells, they also block the fine channels through which the three vital body energies flow, and they cause disturbances to the vital processes.
- In fact, the disturbances affect the balance of the three energies in the body through which the organism lives and develops. They carry out all processes in the organism. The movements are performed through Vata; Pitta manages the transformations, and the condition of the liquids depends on Kapha. These forces are in a unique balance in each one of us, and each one of them has a certain “share” in it, as the leading energy determines the Dosha type of the person.
- Every time one of the Doshas goes out of balance, it can cause symptoms similar to Cronh’s disease anywhere in the digestive system. Usually the imbalance in one of the vital energies leads to imbalance in the other two. The type and extent of manifestation of the symptoms depend on the Dosha type of the person and they also depend on which energies have deviated and how much.
Ayurveda uses many and varied herbs in order to reduce inflammation of the digestive system and possible pain. It also affects the whole organism in order for it to restore its optimal functions as a self-regulating and controlling system that prevents illnesses.
The emphasis is on restoring the proper digestion and the balance of the Doshas. That is why the factors that suppress Agni should be eliminated – unhealthy food, which does not conform to the Dosha of the person; improper combination of incompatible foods, or inappropriate diet, or eating in inappropriate hours, inadequate to Agni’s biological activity.
At the same time, the accumulated toxins must be cleansed from the body, and useful habits shall be created in terms of everyday life, feelings and thoughts. This is required because for Ayurveda the physical health is inextricably linked to the mental and psychological health. Therefore Ayurveda’s treatment includes a strictly individual complex of diet, detoxification, meditation, healing yoga, as all these are determined by the Ayurveda doctor.

It is a disorder characterized by the sudden onset of severe unexplained fatigue, lasting five months or more.
Other Associated symptoms include impairment of neurocognitive function, incomplete or irregular sleep, headache, arthralgia, post exertion malaise, muscle aches and recurrent sore throat.
The etiology and pathophysiology of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is still unknown, but it is known to be heterogeneous and multicausal. It is often associated with the beginning of acute infection.
Major causes of CFS, include, neuro-endocrine dysfunction, lack of immunological functions, and genetic disorders. Although the condition can affect any age group, it most commonly starts between the early 20s-40. Like many auto-immune conditions, it is twice as common in women.
This is a condition which affects not only the working capacity of a person but also will impact the social behavior of a person, because this condition of “always tired” brings a lot of irritation in behavior.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Symptoms
- Generalized aches in the body
- Generalized fatigue
- Stiffness
- Excessive exhaustion
- Chronic aches and pains including headaches and migraines
- Sleep disorder including severe insomnia
- Depression and psychological symptoms numbness and tingling sensation
- Nerve related problems
Ayurvedic approach to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Once the body and sense organs are not healthy or happy and feeling uneasy, the signs and symptoms appear in this condition comes under Jwara. It is a complex and complete disease because it has a wide coverage of the diseases.
Thorough research and understanding will reveal that Jwara will be present in the pathogenesis of every disease. This is why Jwara is given first and foremost role while discussing pathology or treatment of any disease irrespective of the nature.
CFS presents as an overwhelming feeling of fatigue that follows any form of physical exertion, also impairing of memory and concentration. It is also a collection of multi-system dysfunctions involving the immune neurological, endocrine systems.
The degree of severity may differ from person to person. Some cases of CFS suffer from symptoms that have been aggravated due to certain factors like stressful events or excessive work. Some CFS cases suffer continuously from various symptoms even with the absence of any aggravating factors.
It is a disabling condition that can destroy the affected individual’s work, home and social life and financial status.
Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition, which resembles Vataja Jwara (Jwara caused by Vata Dosha) advancing to deeper dhatus and finally affecting ojus. Body ache, body pain, stiffness in the body especially in evening hours and before bed, flatulence, constipation and not feeling well for the whole day are the common signs and symptoms of these two conditions.
Vataja Jwara is caused by the Vata vitiating diet and lifestyle. Avoiding etiological factors (nidana parivarjana) is the primary step for the chronic fatigue syndrome treatment in Ayurveda.
Chronic fatigue syndrome is no exception. Diet and Lifestyle modification according to clinical presentation make it easy to get rid of the problem permanently.
In this condition low or weak gastric fire leads to the formation of Ama in the body. Ama is the root cause of all diseases in the body. Ama first affects Kapha dosha. Later due to the nature of etiological factors, Pitta or Vata dosha may also involve in the pathogenesis of CFS.
When Vata is the main Dosha involved, all functions that belong to Vatha Dosha in the body also become imbalanced including the nervous systems, sleep, bone tissue etc.
Gradually Ojus is also affected. Ojus is the essence of digested food. It provides psychological stability and endurance. At the deepest levels of consciousness, Ojus is the material power that the body uses to provide nourishment to higher states of consciousness.
In other words, Ojus is the subtle glue that cements the body, mind and spirit together, integrating them into a functioning individual. When Agni is not working properly, as in this disease, production of Ojus is impaired.
Ayurvedic Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Treatment
Ayurvedic chronic fatigue syndrome treatment treats the condition by rectifying the malfunctioning of digestive fire.
Ayurveda believes in removing the root cause of disease rather than just treating the symptoms. As a holistic health system comprising diet, yoga, detoxification, herbal remedies, meditation and daily lifestyle, Ayurveda improves not only a person’s health, but also their wellbeing, behavior and state of mind.
This plays an important role in treating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome because the root cause lies not only in the physical aspect of the disease but the mental aspect also plays a vital role.

Stress or stress can happen to any person.
While on one hand, some people emerge easily from it, on the other hand, there are some people for whom stress proves to be a dangerous disease.
The number of people suffering from this is increasing worldwide, including India, most of whom also commit suicide.
According to the report published in The Economics Times, about 80 percent of people in India are stressed, most of whom refrain from talking to a specialist.
This is a really serious situation that needs attention, so we decided to write this article so that people can get the necessary information related to it.
What is stress ?
Stress means feeling physically and emotionally anxious.
This feeling can come from any such event or thought that makes a person feel frustrated, angry or nervous.
Stress is primarily a human-body response in a challenging or difficult time.
However, being stressed for a short period of time is a positive thing, which gives a person the power to do a work seriously, but when it exceeds a limit, it can affect the health, life, aspects of the person. Does matter.
What is the type of stress?
There are mainly 3 types of stress, which are as follows-
Acute Stress- The common form or type of stress is called acute stress.
It mainly occurs before a work is done, which motivates a person to adopt a positive or serious attitude.
Epidic acute stress – This is called the next level of acute stress. When a person has acute stress repeatedly, it is called episodic acute stress.
Chronic Stress – When the acute stress is not far away and lasts for a long time, the condition is called chronic stress in medical language.
This condition can prove to be harmful for any person, as it can make him a victim of very serious diseases like heart attack, depression, cancer etc.
What can be the symptoms of stress?
Stress or stress can occur to any person, as explained above.
Also, like any other disease, stress also has some symptoms, which indicate its onset.
Thus, if a person sees these 5 symptoms in his body, he should immediately meet a psychologist and check his health-
- Feeling of weakness – The main symptom of stress is feeling weak.
- When a person is stressed, he does not mind eating anything, the effect of which can be seen in his body.
- Headache- Since stress is a mental disease, it affects the most important part of human body i.e. the brain.
- Thus, people with stress often complain of having a headache.
- Sleeplessness- If a person has problems with sleep, then he should not ignore it.
- He should inform his doctor as soon as possible as it can be a symptom of stress.
- Abdominal pain – Often, stress begins with common problems such as abdominal pain.
- Therefore, if people start having bad stomach then they should check their health properly as it can be a symptom of stress.
- Muscle ache- Another symptom of tension is muscle ache. In such a situation, seeking medical help can prove to be a better option so that the situation can be controlled in time.
Causes of stress
Although the exact cause of stress has not yet been identified, studies on this problem so far have shown that stress can be caused by a large number of causes.
In addition, the possible causes of stress are as follows:
- Death of a loved one- It is the greatest sorrow for any person to lose a loved one.
- On the one hand, some people emerge from this misery after a short time, while for some people to seek medical help to emerge from it.
- Divorce – Another reason for stress is divorce.
- When two people are separated, it falls on them as well as their family members, which takes the form of a stress-like problem.
- Loss of job- If a person is left with a livelihood or a job, then the chances of getting stressed are increased to a great extent.
Thus, stress can also result in lost job.
- Do not be happy in the job – We all dream of a favorite job.
- While on one hand, some people are successful in achieving this goal, on the other hand, there are some people who do not get this happiness.
- In such a situation, they become victims of stress.
- Family troubles – Apart from professional life, stress can also be a personal reason.
- If there are constant fights in the family of the people, then members of that family can become a victim of stress.
How to treat stress?
Of course, a lot of people have to face a lot of problems due to stress.
Despite this, it is a matter of relief that stress, like any other disease, is also possible, by which they can live their life happily.
Therefore, if a person is suffering from stress, then he can get his treatment in these 5 ways-
Adopt home prescriptions- The easiest way to treat stress is to adopt home remedies.
For this, methods of exercising, eating nutritious food, spending time with family etc. can be adopted.
Taking medicine- Often, treatment of stress is also possible through medication.
These medicines are helpful in preventing stress from increasing as well as reducing it.
Consuming supplements- Although supplements are considered to be harmful for health, if consumed in sufficient quantity, it can be helpful in treating many diseases.
This thing also applies to stress, so stress can be treated using supplements.
Doing Yoga- Since stress directly affects a person’s brain, it can be treated by yoga.
