Dietary disturbances can cause deficiency of essential nutrients in the body. These nutrients also include many types of vitamins, such as Vitamin-A, Vitamin-B, Vitamin-C, Vitamin-D, etc. Supplementation of vitamins in the body is necessary because their deficiency can cause many physical problems. Vitamin B12 is a water-soluble vitamin. These are the vitamins that, after full use, their residues are released from the body through urine. In this article, we will talk about the causes and all the problems related to vitamin B12 deficiency. With this article you will also be able to know about the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency and the disease associated with it.
Types of Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is essential for the metabolism of the body. There are two types of this VITAMIN, which work to improve metabolism. Its types are as follows:
- Methylcobalamin: It is a type of vitamin B12 that is used to cure certain nutritional diseases as well as diseases like Alzheimer’s disease and rheumatoid arthritis. It can also help reduce the pain, backache and neuralgia caused by diabetes.
- Adenosylcobalamin: This is also another type of vitamin B12, deficiency of which can affect metabolic levels.
What is Vitamin B12 deficiency?
Lack of vitamin B12 in the body is not the required amount of vitamin B12. In general, an adult needs 2.4 micrograms of vitamin B12. It is measured by the level of vitamin B12 in the serum or plasma. It affects about 15 percent of people worldwide. Reduction in its red blood cell count can lead to a decrease. This condition is called vitamin B12 deficiency anemia. Vitamin B12 deficiency can result in anemia and may cause problems in the brain and nervous system functioning properly.
Causes of Vitamin B12 Deficiency
Due to lack of Vitamin B12, the top one is not to consume the source of Vitamin B12. This is especially the case for people who consume a vegetarian diet and may need to take vitamin B12 supplements. Apart from this, there are some reasons, which can cause vitamin B12 deficiency, such as:
- Pernicious anemia: In this, there is a deficiency of such proteins in the person’s body, which help in absorbing vitamin B12 in the body. These proteins are called intrinsic factors. Due to their deficiency, there is a problem of absorbing vitamins in the gastrointestinal tract and there is a deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body.
- People suffering from stomach diseases: People suffering from stomach or intestinal diseases like celiac disease and Crohn’s disease (diseases associated with inflammation in the intestine) have problems absorbing enough vitamin B12 in their body. Because of this, the person’s cognitive ability can also be decreased.
- Abdominal surgery: Sometimes people have to undergo abdominal surgery to lose weight or due to some other disease. During this surgery, the cells that make up the intrinsic factor are deficient. Intrinsic factor is needed to absorb vitamin B12 in the body. Thus, it can cause vitamin B12 deficiency.
- Vegetarian diet: Non-vegetarian diet is the highest source of vitamin B12. In such a situation, people consuming pure vegetarian and vegan diet may lack vitamin B12. For those who do not consume non-vegetarian food, grains are the source of vitamin B12.
- Vegetarian mother’s baby: During pregnancy, vitamin B12 comes out of placenta and gets into mother’s milk and mother’s milk itself becomes the source of vitamin B12 for the baby. In such a situation, infants of women who have not taken into account their levels in their body during pregnancy may be deficient. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, consult your doctor regarding the level of vitamin B12 in your body.
- Due to increasing age: With increasing age, the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach starts decreasing. Due to this, there is a problem in absorption of vitamin B12. In addition, due to the lack of hydrochloric acid, bacteria in the stomach also grow, which eliminate the vitamin B12 present in the body. About 10 to 30 percent of people have this problem with increasing age.
Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency
- Megaloblastic anemia (different from normal and large red blood cells formation in the body)
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Constipation
- Loss of appetite
- Weight loss
- Numbness and tingling in hands and feet
- Trouble in mouth and tongue
- dizziness
- Pulsation
- Easy bleeding
In case of excess deficiency, symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency also appear in the person’s behavior. These can be something like this:

Selenium is a chemical element whose atomic number is 37. In nature it is rarely found in its element form.
The atomic weight of selenium is 6.49 . Its 4 permanent isotopes and two radioactive isotopes are known. It is widely found on the planet, but in very small quantities. It does not get independent. It is found in seleconide of heavy metals in an unsymmetrical state and in many minerals with sulfur in general, especially Japanese sulfur. Selenium is derived from free minerals as a by-product.
Selenium has many forms. It is stable in glass form, monoclinic crystalline form and hexagonal crystalline form. Blood is obtained from glassy cilinium, blood acrystalline cilinium, solid cilinium from orange to blood cilinium, and metallic cilinium of gray color. The solubility of these different forms varies from carbon disulfide. Acrystalline Selenium (relative density 6.7), melting point 220 ° C, Ekat Selenium (c. 6.7) melting point 200 ° C, Selenium evaporates at 90 ° C .
PRODUCTION :- In the refinement of copper, the slime obtained or the chimney dust which is obtained by the emission of sulfides of metals contains and is obtained from the same. Selenium is obtained by melting subcutaneous with sand and sodium nitrate, or by oxidizing with nitric acid, oxidizing chimney dust with nitric acid, extracting water from water, and treating the extract with hydrochloric acid and sulfur dioxide, Selenium is volatile. Heating in the air burns with a blue flame to produce selenium dioxide.
USES :-
The highest amount of Selenium is used in the manufacture of glass. It replaces manganese to remove the color of glass. The presence of iron removes the green color of glass from it. Due to the high amount of selenium, the color of glass is of clean blood color, which has been proved very useful in signal lamps. The use of cilantium in place of sulfur has proved beneficial in the manufacture of special types of rubbers.
The electrical resistance of selenium is changed by the effect of light. Later it was seen that in normal electric introduction, electric current is generated by residing the selenium metal and keeping it in light. Due to this property, it has been used in light-cell. The cell consists of copper, aluminum and brass etc. at the back, a thin cilium metal casing is mounted on it and then covered with a gold translucent layer, the bottom of the gold is protected by a transparent filter. Such light is used in electric cell meters, photographic electrical colorimeters and other devices from which light is measured.
There are enamel glazes and pigments from Selenium. Cadmium sulfo-silinide is a beautiful red pigment and is used as a glass. Many alloys are made of small quantities of selenium. Inserting scant selenium in stainless steel and copper alloys works well on its machine. Selenium and its compounds also behave as catalysts. Ferrous sellenite is used in the combustion of petroleum. Selenium is also a fungus and insecticide. It has toxic effects on humans and animals. Plants grown in soil containing selenium have proved to be toxic. Eating such fodder causes the tail and head hair of the horses to fall and their hoofs grow unnaturally. It is deposited in human lungs, orbital, renal or spleen. It can also cause dermatitis and can have fatal consequences. Its toxic effect is suppressed by arsenic.
chemical properties
Selenium is similar to sulfur and tellurium in forming compounds. It forms oxides, fluorides, chlorides, bromites, oxychlorides, silinic acids and their salts, and many aliphatic and aromatic organic compounds.

What is Vitamin B3?
It is a type of vitamin and part of the vitamin-B complex. This vitamin is soluble, which dissolves in water and reaches the body and the remaining amount is released from the urine. Meaning it is not stored in the body. Yes, the body keeps a small fraction of this vitamin for its own needs. For this reason, B3-rich foods should be consumed to maintain its quantity in the body.
Vitamin-B3 mainly consists of two forms, niacin and niacinamide . Niacin helps body fat and sugar to function properly and keep cells healthy. When this niacin reaches the body in excess, it is converted into another form of vitamin-B3, niacinamide. What are the benefits of these two forms of vitamin-B3 to the body?
Vitamin B3 benefits
The benefits of vitamin B3 are many. From the body to the brain, this vitamin is needed. In such a situation, here we are giving information about the benefits of vitamin B3 related to health. Some of the benefits of Vitamin B3 are:
Vitamin-B3 benefits to reduce LDL cholesterol
LDL (low-density lipoprotein) is a harmful cholesterol, which vitamin-B3 can help reduce. According to a research published on the NCBI website, the intake of niacin can reduce LDL cholesterol by 10 to 15 percent. In fact, when LDL levels rise, plaque begins to form in the body. This plaque increases the risk of artery related atherosclerosis and heart disease. For this reason, it is important to include vitamin-B3 in the diet.
Benefits of Vitamin-B3 to increase HDL cholesterol
Along with lowering LDL cholesterol, this vitamin can be helpful in increasing HDL (high-density lipoprotein), i.e., good cholesterol. According to one study, niacin intake can increase HDL cholesterol levels by 15 to 35 percent. Increasing this cholesterol can reduce the risk of arterial disease and stroke. It can also help to remove bad cholesterol from the body.
Vitamin-B3 for Energy
Vitamin-B3 benefits also include increasing energy levels in the body. Actually, vitamin-B3 can convert food present in the body into energy. With this, energy is transmitted to the body and weakness can be removed. It also works with other vitamins to make energy for the body from carbohydrates.
Vitamin-B3 to reduce triglycerides
Triglycerides are a type of fat that reaches the body with butter, oil, and other fats. Excess of triglycerides in the body may increase the risk of heart disease. In this case, it is important to keep triglycerides balanced. According to one study, vitamin-B3 can reduce triglycerides by 20 to 50 percent. For this reason, to reduce the level of triglycerides, include a diet containing vitamin-B3 in the diet.
Vitamin B3 or Niacin for Brain
According to a research published on NCBI website, lack of niacin in the body can lead to many types of mental diseases. Schizophrenia disease is also one of the same disorders, from which niacin intake can be beneficial to get relief. This vitamin is considered helpful in reducing brain damage. Also, vitamin B3 can help the nerves to function properly. The nerve is directly related to the brain. They work to send signals to the brain.
Benefits of Niacin for Arthritis
Consumption of niacinamide may be beneficial for arthritis. It can improve the flexibility of the joints of people troubled by osteoarthritis (a type of arthritis). It is also believed to reduce inflammation of the joints caused by it. In such a situation, vitamin B3 can be taken to prevent arthritis.
Vitamin B3 for Digestion
Vitamin-B3 can also be consumed to remove indigestion or digestive problems. It is said that it can keep the digestive system better. Indeed, digestive problems can occur when the body is deficient in it. It is said to act in association with riboflavin (vitamin-B2) and thiamine (vitamin-B1) in the body to keep the digestive system healthy. In such a situation, vitamin-B3 and other nutrients should be included in the regular diet to keep digestion right.
Niacin beneficial in the treatment of pellagra
Pellagra is also involved in vitamin B3 deficiency disease. In this, the patient feels loss of appetite and may have diarrhea, abdominal pain and skin problems. In such a situation, its deficiency can be overcome by taking vitamin-B3 rich foods. Doing this can prevent the disease caused by vitamin B3 deficiency.
Vitamin-B3 in Pregnancy
It is safe to consume vitamin-B3 in moderation during pregnancy. Consuming this can reduce the risk of miscarriage and the risk of birth-defect to the fetus. By the way, pregnant gets enough vitamin B3 from foods. However, if someone wants to take supplements, do not do it without medical advice.
Vitamin-B3 for Skin
Vitamin-B3 is also necessary for the skin. One study has shown that Neucinamide acts as an antioxidant. This effect can be helpful in protecting the skin from wrinkles and improving skin elasticity. In addition, it can reduce the skin hyperpigmentation (black spots), redness, yellowing of the skin and fine lines.
Vitamin B3 for Hair
Whether vitamin-B3 can be directly beneficial for hair is not clear. Yes, there is a problem of hair loss due to pellagra disease due to deficiency of vitamin-B3. In such a situation, hair loss can be prevented by fulfilling vitamin-B3 deficiency by taking niacin. In such a situation, it can be said that it is also a necessary nutrient for hair.

Vitamin-K

It comes from a group of vitamins called fat-soluble vitamins. That is, these vitamins are fat soluble in our body. This is the reason why Vitamin-K prevents our blood from thickening. Due to this, our blood flow remains correct and blood clot does not accumulate in the body, that is, the risk of blood clotting is removed.
How does vitamin-K work?
When the blood starts coming out on injury anywhere in our body, then in a short time, a layer of blood is dried on that place so that no more blood can flow from the body … This work is done with the protein called prothrombin present in the blood. Causes The body needs vitamin-K to manufacture this protein. That is, vitamin-K works in two ways. Blood does not freeze inside the body and does not allow blood to flow outside the body!
Definitely Vitamin for bones -K
It is not that our body needs vitamin-K only to establish blood clot, but it is also needed for strengthening bones. Vitamin-K works to maintain the mechanism of bones. Due to which the bones are neither very soft nor weak. In such a situation, the fear of fracture is greatly reduced.
This is like boon
Vitamin-K deficiency is not a very common problem in the body. That’s the special thing with this. In very rare cases it is deficient in the body, but when it happens, it causes some serious disease. Due to its deficiency, the blood clotting time increases too much, which can also prove to be fatal.
Lack of it is fatal
When there is a deficiency of vitamin-K in the body, our blood becomes very thin. In such a situation, excessive bleeding can occur in the event of injury or brain hemorrhage, which can also prove to be fatal. It is therefore important that we take a diet rich in vitamin-K in our diet.
There are also types
Vitamin-K itself is divided into many parts and we get them from different things. For example, vitamin-K1 is also known as phylloquinone. Plants are the mainstay of its realization. At the same time, there is another form of Vitamin-K2, which we get from animals based products and Fermented Food.
Gets split in the body
Vitamin-K1 is absorbed by the large intestine inside the body. In large intestines, bacterial bacteria store it. So keep using it according to your need. At the same time, vitamin-K2 is absorbed by the small intestine and liver. It is present in the form of fatty tissues and prevents the accumulation of fat in the blood vessels.
The body cannot produce
Our body has the ability to produce most of the essential things for our body. But without the acquisition of vitamin-K, our body is not able to manufacture prothrombin. Which is necessary for the clotting of blood coming out of the body. Therefore, include green leafy vegetables, milk, egg, dry fruits in your diet.
Children feel injections
Plant-based diets cannot be given to children immediately after birth. Because they are unable to chew and digest it. This is the reason most children are given injections of vitamin-K during treatment after birth. So that any kind of injury can protect them from fatal bleeding.
These people should not use
People who are struggling with any disease or problem due to thinning of blood. Or people who are eating blood thinning medicines, they should talk to their doctor before adding vitamin-K to their diet, rich food and fruits. They should know what they can eat and what not to eat.
Vitamin K is the soluble vitamin in fat that is required by humans to synthesize certain types of proteins. Vitamin K deficiency “does not cause blood clotting”.
Vitamin K contains soluble vitamins in fat. In the body, this vitamin is helpful in the complete synthesis of certain types of proteins, which are helpful in making the blood clot. Apart from this, with the help of vitamin ‘K’, the body controls the binding of calcium in bones and other tissues. Early medical research has shown that vitamin ‘K’ deficiency can weaken bones, leading to a greater likelihood of osteoporosis and promote calcification of arteries and other dead tissues. vitamin k is responsible to thromboplastine. Vitamin k resource are mango papaya.
Vitamins – Functions of K
There is complete synthesis of certain types of proteins such as prothrombin and fibrinogen by vitamin-K in the liver. Which are helpful in blood clotting. These synthesized proteins are present in the blood, and when any type of injury occurs in the body, they are converted into prothrombin-thrombin and coagulate the blood clot. Fibrinogen is the soluble protein found in blood plasma. Which, upon injury, combines with thrombin and thromboplastin at the injured site to form a mesh-like structure called fibrin, in which blood plasma and cells are trapped and this process is called clotting. Therefore, it is clear that Vitamin-K works in two ways in the body, does not allow blood to settle inside the body and does not allow blood to flow outside the body.
Apart from this, Vitamin-K also performs some other important functions in our body-
- It is necessary for the development of the fetus and for good health.
- Also essential for healthy bones, are helpful in calcium absorption.
- They are also necessary to protect bones in old age.
- Vitamin-K deficiency causes problems related to the digestive system.
Effects of deficiency –
Vitamin-K Because, fat is a soluble vitamin. Therefore, these stores remain in body fat cells. As a result, their inferiority status is not commonly seen. But at times, when the body is not able to absorb vitamins properly due to a problem in the gastric intestinal tract, or if antibiotics are used for a long time; Vitamin-K deficiency occurs. Due to its lack-
- The blood clotting time increases. Therefore, if an injury occurs in such a situation, excessive bleeding occurs and a condition of bleeding in internal organs also arises, which can prove to be fatal.
- Even after mild injury, such as bleeding from the teeth and nose eruption problem is seen.
- In the absence of these bones become soft and there is a fear of breaking. They are also necessary for protecting bones in old age.
- Digestive system is affected by vitamin K deficiency.
When doctors are being given vitamin-E supplements or blood thinners (blood thinners) due to a medical condition such as heart disease or stroke, a change in the amount of vitamin-K is also necessary and in your diet A balanced use of vitamin-K containing substances is necessary. Because, these are done opposite to each other in our body a. Hence imbalance can cause side effects.
Vitamin K – Means
According to the means of attainment, vitamin-K can be divided into two parts, K 1 and K 2.
