7 PATRA PIND SWEDA :-
In other terms, Patra Pinda Sweda is known as Elakizhi, and is described as a form of sweat therapy prepared from herbal ingredients such as the leaves of medicinal plants. Different leaves are selected for this procedure depending on the disease to be treated and the dosha involved in causing the disorder. The commonly used leaves of the plants are Eranda (Ricinus communis), Nirgundi (Vitex negundo), Arka (Calotropis gigantea), etc.
Procedure – The fresh leaves of different plants are collected, sliced and tied in a bolus. Then, the bolus is placed in a pan and heated. Alternatively, it may be dipped in herbal oils that are being heated at a constant temperature. Once the bolus is sufficiently heated, it is removed and gently rubbed over the joints and other affected areas. The bolus should be changed with another heated one once it cools down to maintain the temperature at the site being treated. High blood pressure can prove fatal for a person, so it is important to keep BP under control. If someone is a patient of high BP, then it can be very beneficial for him to include some things in his diet.
Berries, especially blue berries, contain high amounts of flavonoids. It helps in reducing blood pressure and keeps away the troubles caused by high BP.
Beet contains nitric acid which helps in opening blood vessels and reducing the pressure. It also helps in maintaining blood flow properly, so that BP does not deteriorate.
According to a study, people who eat yogurt daily have a 20 percent lower risk of high BP. At the same time, those who are already a patient of hypertension, if they eat yogurt, it helps them to normalize BP.
Oatmeal is high-fiber, low-fat and low-sodium food that helps reduce BP. Eating it daily in a breakfast breaks energy throughout the day and BP is also normal.
Eating garlic increases nitric oxide in the body which helps in reducing BP. You can swallow its bud like water with medicine or eat it just like that.
Pistachio helps to reduce blood pressure by reducing peripheral vascular resistance, as well as it helps to maintain blood flow maintained.
