Another variation of the Idli recipe from a collection of popular South Indian easy breakfast dishes. It can also be prepared with rava idli recipe with many variations including spices and vegetables. However, it is a plain white boiled rice without any adulteration and can be prepared in minutes. Suji Idli Recipe Instant semolina idli. Rava idli or semolina idli is a specialty of the South Indian state of Karnataka which is now popular all over India. It is traditionally served with idli sambar and coconut chutney, but can be served with chutney of choice.
Traditionally the idli recipe was prepared with a combination of rice and urad dal with raw rice as the main ingredient. 2. In fact, MTR used idli with thick semolina in place of rice and began serving in its tiffin room. It was a huge hit during those days. Not only because of its low cost, but it tasted even better than rice idli. These days MTR has also launched a premixed instant rava idli mix which should be available at any local grocery store. But I would recommend it to prepare semolina idli as the mixture can be prepared in minutes.
Some easy tips and suggestions to make instant semolina idli recipe perfect. First of all, I have roasted semolina dry before using it in rava idli. However you get roasted rava in the store and you can do this process quickly. Secondly, you can also add grated carrots and fried onions to the idli batter before steaming. Alternatively, you can also make tempering with mustard and cumin to prepare masala idli recipe. Finally, I have added eno fruit salt to speed up fermentation but alternatively baking soda can also be added.

Easy semolina idli recipe Instant semolina idli
- कप1 cup rava / semolina, coarse
- कप1 cup yogurt
- ▢½ tsp salt
- ▢¼ cup of water
- 4 tsp eno fruit salt or a pinch of baking soda
Instruction
- First, fry 1 cup of rava in a large pan for 5 minutes or until fragrant.
- Allow it to cool completely, and transfer the roasted rava to the mixing bowl.
- Add 1 cup yogurt, ½ tsp salt and mix well without any lumps.
- Let rest for 20 minutes or until rava / semolina is absorbed.
- Add ¼ cup of water again or as needed to prepare idli batter consistency.
- Just before steaming the idli, add 4 tsp of eno fruit salt or baking soda to it and give a light mixture.
- Immediately pour batter on the greased idli plate.
- Steam them on a medium flame for 15 minutes or until the idli is fully cooked.
- Finally, serve plain rava idli or plain semolina idli with chutney and sambar.

1. Must consume calcium

How to use our pregnancy diet plan

Which pregnancy diet plan would be right?
Since the Indian diet and the eating habits of the people here are very diverse, we have prepared different diet plans for North Indians and South Indians. In these two regions of India, eight plans have been given for every quarter, four vegetarian and four non-vegetarian.
First quarter diet plan
Although you need different nutrients to keep yourself and your baby healthy throughout pregnancy, we have chosen a few more nutrients that are especially important for your baby’s growth in the first trimester.
The most important nutrients in the first trimester are folic acid, iron and vitamin B6.
Folic acid protects your baby from neural tube defects such as spina bifida and other congenital defects such as the clot palate.
Iron is needed to make healthy red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the body. Due to lack of enough iron in the body, you may feel tired or breathless. Iron deficiency anemia (low HB) is quite common in India, so this nutrient is required throughout pregnancy.
You may feel like vomiting due to nausea and you may not be able to eat or drink properly. There is some evidence that vitamin B6 is helpful in relieving nausea.
Second quarter diet plan
In the second trimester, your baby’s bones are growing and his brain also develops. Adequate calcium and vitamin D are necessary for the healthy bones of the baby and Omega 3 is very important for the development of the brain of the baby.
Another nutrient is mentioned in our meal plan for the second quarter and that is beta-carotene. It is a type of Vitamin A, which helps us to get healthy blood and skin.
We continue to talk about iron-rich foods in this quarter as well, as anemia (low HB) is very common in India, especially among vegetarians.
Third quarter diet plan
In the third trimester, your baby will develop at a fast pace as his weight increases and he is preparing for life outside the womb. Because of this you will find that your weight is increasing rapidly. As long as you are taking a balanced and healthy diet, you should not worry about this extra weight gain. Your energy needs will also increase because your baby is building layers of fat inside.
Blood clots are necessary to help stop bleeding and vitamin ‘K’ helps in this. This is very important after the birth of the baby. Therefore, it is advised that in the third trimester you should eat a diet rich in vitamin ‘K’ so that your body does not lack this important nutrient at birth.
Like the first and second trimesters, iron is an important nutrient to prevent anemia in the third trimester. If you have anemia and are not treated, you have a high risk of premature labor.
Do need to take supplements along with a healthy diet during pregnancy?
The best way to get the necessary nutrients for yourself and your unborn baby is by consuming different types of healthy foods. Often, it is easier for your body to absorb these essential nutrients through food than to take them as supplements.
However, despite taking a healthy diet, there is a need to take supplements during pregnancy. Therefore, do not stop taking the supplements prescribed by the doctor.
All pregnant women are required to take folic acid supplementation in the first trimester. In the second and third trimesters, the doctor will ask you to take iron and calcium supplements. How often you need to take calcium and iron pills depends on your health history and diet, such as whether you take a vegetarian diet or a non-vegetarian diet.
Depending on the results of your blood tests at the beginning of pregnancy, a doctor may also ask you to take a vitamin D supplement. Although your body gets vitamin D naturally from sunlight, yet many women in India lack this essential nutrient. It helps in the absorption of calcium in the body.

- 1 apple green apple is better
- 3-4 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon cornflour and 2 tablespoons water solution.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- Ice cold water to knead the dough as needed
- Oil for frying
Steps
- Wash and cut apples into small pieces and keep a non stick pan. Add apples to it. Cook for about 2 minutes
- Now add half a cup of water, brown sugar, cinnamon powder and Essence and mix well and cook until the apples are soft.
- After the apple is soft, add cornflour solution. Stir until the water is soaked and take out in the bowl and let it cool completely.
- Take a bowl and all purpose flour, salt and butter and mix well.
- Gradually add water and make a semi soft dough and wrap it in cling film and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
- After 30 minutes your dough is ready. Take butter paper and flatten it with a rolling pin. Cut into 8 or the desired size in the square of 8.
- Put a little stuffing on one side and fold and seal with fork. Likewise make all the cheela
- Keep the oil for frying, fry it on low flame till it becomes golden brown.
- Take it out on tissue paper and serve hot.
Dhokla Recipe

Dhokla is a famous recipe in India and is eaten for breakfast in the state of Gujarat. If you also want to eat Dhokla, then here we are telling you how to make Dhokla
You can make Dhokla at home at this time when you feel hungry during breakfast or want to make breakfast at the school tiffin of the children or take breakfast along with you on the journey. If you make it this way, then it will be very soft and spongy which will be liked by everyone. You do not need to work hard, you can make and eat it in a short time.
Making this is not a difficult task, if you read this recipe carefully then you can make soft and spongy Dhokla recipe at your home. So let’s learn the method of making Dhokla without delay. Very little material is needed to make Dhokla, this material is usually present in the house, there is no need to buy from outside.
Dhokla Making Materials
- Gram flour – 200 grams
- Curd – 150 grams
- A teaspoon of lemon juice
- Oil a spoon
- Salt to taste
- Baking soda a teaspoon
- Turmeric powder a teaspoon
To apply Tadka:
- Oil a spoon
- Green chilies 7-8 (long cut)
- Curry leaves – 10-12
- Mustard spoon
- Sugar a spoon
To decorate:
Coriander leaves 1 cup
Method of preparation of Dhokla
Sieve the gram flour in a bowl. Now add curd, salt, turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon oil and lemon juice and mix it for 1 minute. Now add water little by little and make a smooth batter (batter is not too thin or too thick) Now keep the batter on the side for half an hour to set.
Let’s prepare ahead until the batter is set. First grease the bowl with oil so that the dhokla does not stick to the bottom. Now put two bowls of water in a pan and keep the stand. Now heat the water on high to medium heat till it boils.
Now roll the gram flour batter with a spoon. Now add baking soda to this batter and add a teaspoon of water and rotate the batter for 1 minute. Now you will see that the batter is full, now immediately put it in a greased pot with oil and place it on the stand in the pan.
Now cover the lid on the pan and cook for 15-20 minutes. Open after the scheduled time and check with a knife. If the knife comes out clean then understand that the dhokla is well formed, if the batter is sticking to the knife, cook two to three more minutes. Now take out the vessel and let it cool down a bit.
After cooling, cut the dhokla into medium pieces with a knife. Dhokla is ready. Now put a spoonful of oil in the tempering pan and heat it to make the tempering. When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds, green chilies (long cut), curry leaves and fry until the mustard seeds crackle. Now add sugar, 1 cup of water and cook till the sugar dissolves. Now pour this tempering over the Dhokla and decorate it with green coriander. (This is an easy method of making Dhokla chutney)

Fo-Ti / Polygonum Multiflorum
Fo-tea is a traditional Chinese medicine. It is also used as a hair care supplement in China. It is now available online as well as in medical stores in India. To prevent hair from turning white, 1,000 mg of it can be consumed twice a day with food.
Onion / Allium Cepa
There are many benefits of applying onion to the head. Onion oil is also very beneficial for hair. Grind an onion in a blender. Sieve the onion paste with the help of a sieve and remove the juice.
Twice a week, rub this juice into your scalp skin, leave it for 30 minutes and then shampoo as usual. This is an effective way to overcome the problem of white hair.
Carrot Juice / Daucus Carota Subsp. Sativus

Patient Story – Anita, Suffering from Anxiety

Mrs Anita a 30 years old female patient from Tosham came to visit our clinic (CHANDIGARH AYURVED CENTRE). She look pale , tensed and depressed with slurred speech and tremors . Her husband who accompany her to the clinic tell her history that the problem started 6 months we she suddenly had a panic attack. The family couldn’t understand the problem she is facing and rush to the nearby hospital . After consultation with the doctor the doctor told them to consult the psychiatrist for the problem she is facing . They then visit the psychiatrist and get the consultation done he advise them to admit her after examination of the patient. After her treatment for two days the doctor then makes a counseling session and tries to understand the cause of her panic attack. After he had talk with the patient he came to know about the family issues she is facing due to her in-lows. Then he talks with her husband and tells all the possibility of her having this sudden attack. Then after a day she got discharged with the prescription for next one week with the continue counseling session schedule. But after taking all the medication for 2 months when her counseling session were stopped she again get a panic attack . Again she got hospitalized for 2 days and the doctor also change some of her medication . After this episode her husband start to find out the other way to solve her problem and came to know about AYURVEDIC treatment . 7 SHIRODHARA :-
In Ayurveda, Shirodhara is a classic therapy which includes pouring of warm herbal oil on the forehead in a continuous stream. The term Shirodhara comes from two words “Shiro” meaning ‘head’ and “Dhara” meaning ‘stream’ that is considered as Bahiparimarjanachikitsa, or external treatments in Ayurveda.
Procedure –Shirodhara treatment begins with Abhyangam. The person has to lie down on the table with closed eyes and relax the body. Before starting the treatment, eyes and ears should be covered with clean cotton to prevent the entrance of oil in eyes and ears. The procedure starts with the pouring of about 2 liters lukewarm oil continuously as a stream on to the forehead in an oscillating manner. The time duration of Shirodhara may extend 45-1 hour depending upon the condition of a patient.The therapist may also give a mild Shiroabhyanga during this procedure. After completion of the procedure, the head washed with lukewarm water and remove the cotton from the eyes and ears and clean that area with a clean cloth. Mr Sunil a 40 years old patient from Bihar came to visit our clinic (CHANDIGARH AYURVED CENTRE ). He was suffering with ulcerative colitis since 2 years and doesn’t get cured although tried a lot of medication . He tell during his history that the problem started 2 years back when he suddenly notice blood and mucous with his stool . Firstly he couldn’t understand the problem he was facing but after some days when he started having crampy abdominal pain along with weight loss . Then he rush to the hospital and get the consultation done . The doctor after hearing all his history and examination of the patient advise him to get some report done . After the result of report come the doctor tell him the diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and also tell him to get colonoscopy done from outside . The doctor then prescribe him medication for one week and advise him to follow up after a week . After taking medication for a week and get colonoscopy report done he again visit the doctor .

Any process associated with motion in our body is possible only due to Vata. In Charaka Samhita, Vayu has been considered the only fire enhancer, motivator of all senses and center of enthusiasm. - Fox Nut
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts
- 2 tsp ghee
- Rock salt
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 3 cups milk
- Sugar to taste
- Dry fruits, sliced
Method of making Makhana Kheer
- Roast the makhana and cashew nuts in a pan by adding some ghee and after that sprinkle a little rock salt over them.
- As soon as it cools down, grind 3/4 of the butter and a little cardamom with cashews in a blender.
- Take another deep pan, take 2 to 3 cups of milk in it and let it boil.
- Add sugar to it, after that add Makhane mixture into it and mix well.
- Now add the rest of the roasted Makhanas and cashews.
- Stir continuously until it thickens.
- After garnishing with chopped dry you can serve kheer hot or cold.
