ASCITES – WEEKLY DIET PLAN

Ascites is a medical condition in which there is abnormal accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity.
Peritoneum is a sheet of layer which lines the abdominal/peritoneal cavity along with organs like stomach, liver, small and large intestine, kidneys, etc. it consists of two layers. Ascites occurs when fluid accumulates in these two layers.
It is associated with dysfunctioning of liver. The most common symptoms of ascites are feeling of fullness, ballooning belly and rpid weight gain.
The other diseases which are associated with ascites are congestive heart failure, tuberculosis, liver cirrhosis and abdominal cancer.
The treatment of ascites depends on the underlying cause.
Here we mention some of the useful diet plan for ascites which leads to decrease in the frequency and severity of symptoms by balancing the doshas and thus get rid of them by some dietary modifications:

DINNER 8.00-8.30 pm | 2 chapattis + 1 cup ridge gourd sabzi + ½ cup brown rice + salad |
