APPENDICITIS – WEEKLY DIET PLAN

Appendicitis is an inflammatory condition of the appendix. Appendix is a small pouch like structure which projects from the large intestine. It is present on the lower right side of the abdomen.
Appendix gets inflamed if it gets blocked either due to bacteria or presence of food. This leads to swelling and formation of pus inside it. The pain of appendicitis usually starts around the navel and then moves towards the lower right side of abdomen.
Appendicitis is of two types – acute and chronic. As the inflammation of appendix worsens, the pain gets severe and unbearable.
It can occur in people of any age group but people between the age of 10-30 years are most commonly affected.
If it is not treated at time, it can burst and the bacteria can spill into the surroundings and the condition can be very fatal. However, the treatment of appendicitis is appendicectomy.
Here we mention some of the useful diets for appendicitis which leads to decrease in the frequency and severity of symptoms by balancing the 3 doshas and thus get rid of them by some dietary modifications:
