ANEMIA – WEEKLY DIET PLAN

Anemia is an unhealthy condition in which number of red blood cells in the body are less than the required amount. This leads to less availability of oxygen to the body’s tissues. This makes the person feeling tired and weak.
Red blood cells contain a red pigment called haemoglobin. This red pigment binds with oxygen and carry it to all the tissues of the body. Less red blood cells leads to less haemoglobin content. Thus less oxygen reaches the tissues
It can be mild to severe and temporary or long term. In most of the cases, anemia has more than one cause. The major cause of anemia is iron deficiency.
According to Ayurveda , Anemia is known as Panduroga. The word ‘Pandu’ means pale or yellowish white colour. In panduroga , there is deficiency of raktadhatu in the body due to which the colour of the skin gets slightly pale.
Here we mention some of the useful diets for anemia which leads to decrease in the severity of their symptoms by balancing their doshas and thus make them get rid of this condition by some dietary modifications:

MIDMEAL 11-11.30 am | A glass of coconut water |
LUNCH 2.00-2.30 pm | 1\2 cup rice + 2 chapattis + 1 cup spinach curry + salad |
EVENING 4.00-4.30 pm | 1 cup of homemade soup(spinach) |
DINNER 8.00-8.30 pm | 2 chapattis + ½ cup of bottle gourd veg. |

BREAKFAST 8.00-8.30 am | Mix veg poha + ½ cup low fat milk |
MIDMEAL 11.00-11.30 am | 1 cup veg vermicelli |
LUNCH 2.00-2.30 pm | 2 chapattis + ½ cup kidney beans curry + salad |
EVENING 4.00-4.30 pm | 1 portion fruit ( pomegranate ) |
DINNER 8.00-8.30 pm | 2 chapattis + ½ cup bitter gourd sabji+salad |

BREAKFAST 8.00-8.30 am | 2 missi roti + ½ cup skimmed milk |
MIDMEAL 11.00-11.30 am | 1 cup roasted grams |
LUNCH 2.00-2.30 pm | 2 -3 chapatti + 1 cup ridge gourd + salad |
EVENING 4.00-4.30 pm | 1 portion fruit ( apple, papaya ) |
DINNER 8.00-8.30 pm | 3 chapattis + ½ cup brown rice +1 cup kidney beans |
