AYURVED APPROACH
In ayurved it can be correlated with Ardita, one among the 80 Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhis. Due to nidan sevan like intake of hard substances, excess laughing, day sleep, heavy weight bearing, improper lying or sitting posture etc leads to the vitiation of the Vata dosha. The aggravated vata travels to the face and get lodged in the corresponding nerves, veins and arteries situated there. The obstruction by vata leads to decline in function of nerves of nearby area which in turn produce symptoms there and cause Ardita.
