Introduction
Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease of connective tissue. This causes fibrosis and tissue thickening. In this condition the skin becomes hard. Scleroderma may cause patches on the skin. Red spots on hands and face and thickening of fingers can also be symptoms of scleroderma. It can affect not only the skin but also many major organs. If we want to understand in simple language, scleroderma is a serious disease. In this extra collagen is produced on the skin. In such a situation, normal tissue combines with extra collagen and turns into thick tissue.
Types of Scleroderma
Localized Scleroderma– The disease affects the cells above and below the skin. There is also a risk of eye disease uveitis in localized scleroderma. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of arthritis in localized Scleroderma.
Systemic Scleroderma- When someone has systemic scleroderma, it affects the body both internally and externally. In systemic scleroderma, apart from the upper surface of the skin, the skin inside the respiratory tract and food pipe is also affected. Due to this, a person may also have trouble eating and breathing.

Ayurvedic Management for Scleroderma
According to Ayurveda, Scleroderma is correlated with “Uttana Vatarakta” that causes imbalance of dosha, dhatu, & dushya. In Ayurveda Scleroderma is primarily caused by an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas, along with impaired digestion (Agni). Imbalanced Vata dosha leads to dryness, hardness, and stiffness, while imbalanced Pitta dosha can cause inflammation and increased heat in the tissues. - Detox Premium Powder
