Exposure to etiological factors like excessive intake of dry food, exposure to breeze and mist, suppressing the natural urges, excessive indulgence in physical activities etc leads to the vitiation of Vata dosha. The Aggravated vata dosha either individually or along with vitiated kapha gets lodged into half portion of head.
