This syrup is herbo-mineral and purely Ayurvedic formulation. It acts on Vata and Kapha dosha but mainly helps to reduce the aggravated Kapha thus helps to reduces the phelgm production in lung and balances sections of the body. The ingredients used in this syrup are mulethi, vasa, tulsi, pushkar, pippli, sonth, chavya etc which exerts mucolytic and expectorant action on the respiratory system. This syrup also helps to increase the digestive fire which in turn improve appetite. This syrup also helps in chronic bronchitis and asthma symptoms. This syrup has anti-inflammatory , antioxidant, immuno modulator and detoxifying properties.
INGREDIENTS OF CAC BRONCHO CARE SYRUP :
- Vasa patra (Adathoda vasica) :It has potent antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties thus helps to provide relief from cough, common cold and flu symptoms. It also helps to reduce nasal and chest congestion thus get rid of excess sputum and stops nasal discharge.
- Kantakari (Solanum surratense) : It has anti-histaminic and anti-inflammatory properties thus provide relief from the symptoms of asthma. It also helps to avert common cold, sinusitis and other respiratory allergies. It helps to maintain the healthy function of lungs also.
- Mulethi (Glycyrrhiza glabra) : it has powerful anti-asthmatic, anti-inflammatory and anti-biotic properties which are useful in treating cough, common cold and flu. It also thins the phlegm deposition in chest and nasal cavity thus helps to ease breathing and also helps to expel out excessive mucus.
- Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) : It is a rich source of zinc and Vitamin-C thus act as immunity booster and helps to fight infections. It also increase the T-helper cells and natural killer cell activities thus boost immunity. It also helps to expel out the excessive mucus formed in bronchitis, asthma attacks etc.
- Bharangi (Clerodandrum serratum) : It has potent anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties thus helps to relieve whooping cough, common cold, bronchitis, asthma etc. It helps to get rid of mucus deposition in chest and nasal cavities thus ease out breathing.
- Chitrak mool (Plumbago zelynica) : It posses anti-biotic, anti-inflammatory and anti-asthmatic properties. This herb helps to pacify imbalanced Kapha and helps to loosen up the phlegm deposition in nasal cavities and chest to facilitate smooth breathing.
- Sonth (Zingiber officinale) : The chemical compound gingerol and shagol present in ginger helps to stimulate perspiration and also reduce temperature , irritation and heals pain caused by flu. It has antioxidant and anti-microbial properties thus helps to naturally boost immune system of body.
- Pippali (Piper longum) : It tends to provide relief from congestion and cough and also helps to remove phlegm deposition within the respiratory tract.
- Pudina (Mentha spicata) : It acts as natural relaxant thus ease chest congestion. It also have anti-inflammatory properties thus helps to alleviate congestion of bronchi, throat and lungs thus providing relief from asthma, cold etc. Due to cooling properties it also helps to sooth irritated nose, sore throat etc.

Dextromethorphan comes under the class of drugs Known as Anti-tussives. It is used to treat cough but do not treat cough caused by asthma, smoking or emphysema. It starts to work after 30 to 60 minutes and reaches the peak at 2 to 4 hours.
MECHANISM OF ACTION :
It crosses the blood brain barrier and activates sigma opioid receptors on cough center in CNS thus suppressing the cough reflex.
