This syrup is purely herbal and Ayurvedic formulation . This syrup helps to remove excessive Kapha or mucous form the body, manges weight, supports respiratory system, helps to remove impurities or ama from the body, supports healthy detoxification, reduce swelling etc. This syrup shows analgesic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory , anti-oxidant properties. The syrup is made with equal parts of three herbs Pippli, shunthi and marich which helps to maintain the metabolism in body . It helps to balance the thyroxine hormone and treats hyperthyroidism naturally with regular use. INGREDIENTS OF CAC TRIKATU SYRUP :
- Pippali (Piper longum) : It has anti-flatulent and carminative properties thus helps to reduce gas formation in alimentary canal which in turn provide relief from constipation, bloating, abdominal distension and flatulence. It also acts as natural anta-acid thus helps to reduce acidity. IT has expectorant properties thus helps to remove mucus deposits from respiratory tract. which provides relief from congestion.
- Shunthi (Zingiber officinale) : It helps to stimulate saliva and bile production along with suppression of gastric contractions thus provide relieve from gastro-intestinal irritation. IT also helps to improve movement of food and fluid through GI tract. It have expectorant properties thus helps to loosen up the mucus from lungs and soothes lung tissues. The bio-active compound oleoresin present in it prevents the formation of excessive mucus in respiratory tract.
- Marich (Piper nigrum) : It helps to promote the secretion of digestive juices and enzymes that helps to improve process of digestion. It stimulates the digestive system to breakdown the food into small particles and eases digestion. Due to its carminative properties it helps to alleviate flatulence and colic pain. COMPARED TO CAC TRIKATU SYRUP THE ALLOPATHIC COUNTERPART IS CIMETIDINE:
Cimetidine is a Histamine H2 receptor antagonist which tends to inhibits the production of stomach acids. It is used in the treatment of certain stomach and esophagus problems which are caused by too much stomach acid or backflow of stomach acid into esophagus. It is administrated by oral route 30 minutes before the consumption of food or beverages.
MECHANISM OF ACTION :
It binds with the H2 -receptors that are located on baso-lateral membrane of gastric parietal cells thus blocking the effect of histamine. The inhibition leads to reduced gastric acid secretion and reduce gastric volume and acidity.
