What is glycine?
Glycine is a type of amino acid that is helpful in maintaining protein in the body. Usually, our daily diet includes about two grams of glycine. It helps in increasing the transmission of chemical signals in our brain. Hence it can be used to treat schizophrenia and to overcome memory related problems. Schizophrenia is a type of mental disorder that can affect a person’s ability to think, feel, and behave. What dose of glycine should I consume?
For the treatment of schizophrenia
0.4 to 0.8 g / kg glycine should be eaten little by little throughout the day.
After a clot stroke in the brain:
Keeping one to two grams under the tongue within six hours immediately after a stroke makes a difference.
To cure foot blisters
A cream containing 10 mg glycine, 2 mg al-cysteine and 1 mg dl-threonine per gram is applied on the skin. Applying this cream on the wound twice a day or once in two days provides relief in the wound.
