Kapha dosha is made of the earth and water elements and it reflects earth and water in their physical, mental and emotional being. Kapha Dosha controls muscle growth, body strength, stability, weight, and immune system. It gets vitiated by your unhealthy habits like eating too many sweet foods, eating and drinking things that contain too much salt or water, sleeping during day time. And vitiation of Kapha dosha leads to disease like Asthma, breathing disorders, cancer, diabetes, nausea after eating, and obesity.
The common signs and symptoms when kapha dosha gets imbalanced are:
- Weight gain
- Excessive mucus production
- Nausea and vomiting
- Indigestion
- Chest congestion
- Lethargy
HOW AYURVEDA HELPS?
According to Ayurveda, our body is composed of the five elements – earth, water, fire, air and space. With the different combinations of these elements, vata, pitta and kapha doshas are formed. When these three doshas are present in harmony, then a person is healthy. If any of the three doshas gets vitiated, then it leads to manifestation of a disease. The ayurvedic herbs help in balancing of the kapha dosha and thus relieve symptoms appeared.
1. Cough powder:
This ayurvedic powder helps in pacifying kapha dosha naturally. It is very effective in cough with mucus, cold, and other respiratory disorders. Cough powder is a mixture of some ayurvedic ingredients like talisadi churna, abharak bhasam, godanti bhasam, lakshmi vilas rasa, yashtimadhu churna, tankan bhasma, kaph ketu ras. These ingredients in combination show antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, & expectorant properties.
Recommended Dosage: Take 1 sachet twice daily with honey.
2. Kapha Balance tablet:

It is made up of a total of 5 ingredients – Shunthi (Zingiber officinale), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Svaran patri (Cassia angustifolia), Shatapushpa (Foeniculum vulgare),Sauvarchala lavana (Rock salt). The powder reduces the inflammation, redness, relieves constipation, abdominal discomfort, etc. and also prevents it from re-occurring.
Recommended Dosage – Take 1 teaspoonful at bedtime with lukewarm water.
